Influenza

• The region has been in an influenza epidemic phase since week 50 of 2023.

• OSCOUR®: The number of emergency department visits for flu-like illness, all ages, is decreasing (361 compared to 597 in Week 07-2024); representing 1.4% of total activity.

• SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for flu-like symptoms, across all age groups, is decreasing in week 08-2024 (644 consultations compared to 836 in week 07-2024); the flu-related activity rate is 8.3%.

Bronchiolitis

• The region emerged from the post-epidemic phase in week 03-24.

• OSCOUR®: In week 08-2024, the proportion of activity related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age in emergency departments fluctuated (8.3%), as did the number of visits (117 visits). The proportion of hospitalizations for bronchiolitis among all hospitalizations following a visit to the emergency department for children under 2 years of age is 17%.

• SOS Médecins: The proportion of cases related to bronchiolitis among SOS Médecins cases has fluctuated since week 03-2024. In week 08-2024, it was 5.5%, corresponding to 36 consultations.

COVID-19

• OSCOUR®: In week 08-2024, the number of emergency department visits for COVID-19 remained stable compared to the previous week (40 visits versus 43 in week 07-2024), representing 0.2% of total activity.

• SOS Médecins: In week 08-2024, the number of SOS Médecins consultations for COVID-19 remained stable compared to the previous week, with limited staffing (22 consultations compared to 16 in week 07-2024), representing 0.3% of activity for SOS Médecins associations in the region.

Acute Gastroenteritis

• OSCOUR®: The number of emergency room visits for gastroenteritis, across all age groups, remained stable in week 08-2024 compared to previous weeks. The share of activity was 1.3%, representing 321 visits.

• SOS Médecins: The number of consultations for gastroenteritis increased slightly in week 08-2024 (637 consultations), as did the share of activity for this condition (8.3%).
