Health Surveillance in the Alsace Region. Epidemiological Update as of May 10, 2012

Key Findings

  • A sharp increase in the number of asthma and allergy diagnoses was observed in weeks 13 and 14 for both SOS Médecins associations in the region. This increase in diagnoses may be linked to the rise in birch pollen levels reported by the RNSA during the same period.

  • Gastroenteritis activity continues in the region, suggesting that enteric viruses are still circulating.
