Highlights

• The flu outbreak continues in Alsace. Flu-related activity at the SOS Médecin clinics in Strasbourg and Mulhouse saw a significant increase last week.

• The A(H3N2) virus is predominant this season.

• Nationally, an increase in mortality among people aged 85 and older has been observed since Week 6, though it is not possible to determine whether this excess is attributable to the cold snap that occurred during the first two weeks of February and/or to the ongoing winter flu epidemic.
