Summary

Epidemiological indicators for acute respiratory infections (ARI) remained at a high level in primary care and hospital emergency departments, reflecting widespread circulation of ARI in French Guiana.

Over the past two weeks (W04 and W05), the number of visits to primary care clinics for flu-like symptoms increased significantly, while the number of emergency department visits remained moderate: the flu epidemic has been ongoing for nine weeks. Regarding bronchiolitis and COVID-19, epidemiological surveillance indicators were at a low level; bronchiolitis is in an inter-epidemic phase, and COVID-19 is circulating at a low level.
