Health Monitoring in the Hauts-de-France Region. Update as of September 16, 2022.

Key Points

COVID-19

  • Since last week, a sharp increase in epidemic activity at the regional level (+37%) and below (rise in TI, TP, and TD in the 5 departments)

  • Very sharp increase in the Aisne department, across all age groups and among those over 65

  • Deterioration in virological indicators, primarily affecting those under 50 and young children due to the start of the school year and the resumption of social and professional activities

  • Slight increase last week in consultations for suspected Covid-19 (SOS Médecins and SAU) and acute respiratory infections (Sentinel Network)

  • Slight increase in vaccination coverage among the most vulnerable (over 60) eligible for the second booster

Mortality

  • In week 35, at the regional level, mortality, all causes and all ages, remains within the expected fluctuations for this time of year

Asthma

  • Usual increase in asthma-related healthcare visits in community settings and hospitals (emergency departments and hospitalizations)

Monkeypox

  • 188 confirmed cases reported in Hauts-de-France

  • 2% of cases were hospitalized following infection with the Monkeypox virus, and no deaths have been reported in the region
