Chikungunya, Dengue, and Zika in Occitanie. Update as of September 5, 2024.
Key Points
In Occitanie, from May 1 to September 3, 2024, 118 imported cases of dengue and 1 imported case of chikungunya were identified. Three locally acquired cases of dengue were also identified: 1 in Hérault and 2 in Pyrénées-Orientales (with possible transmission in Lozère).
To limit the risk of local transmission, 151 entomological surveys and 121 vector control treatments were carried out in the vicinity of the cases.
