Key Points
Between March 18, 2024, and May 8, 2024, 63 cases of cholera were reported in Mayotte (59 confirmed and 4 probable cases).
Of these, 49 were locally acquired and 14 were imported from the Comoros or countries on the African continent.
Seven severe cases requiring intensive care and one death were recorded.
The vast majority of cases (48) were detected in the municipality of Koungou.
