Dengue Situation in Mayotte. Epidemiological Update as of May 12, 2014.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Situation

The number of confirmed dengue cases has risen sharply in week 19. The outbreaks in Koungou, Mamoudzou, and Labattoir continue to intensify. The occurrence of isolated cases raises concerns about the presence of viral transmission chains in other parts of the island. The highest level of vigilance must be maintained to limit the risk of the situation escalating into a widespread epidemic across the entire territory.
