Epidemiological Situation as of May 18, 2012
On May 14, results from samples collected between March 16 and May 6 were submitted to the ARS health surveillance platform in Mayotte. Among these results, 43 confirmed cases of dengue and 6 confirmed cases of chikungunya were reported. Analyses of samples collected starting May 7 are currently underway. Among the 3 samples for which the dengue serotype could be identified, 2 DENV-1 and 1 DENV-2 were detected.
