Key points

  • The number of clinically suggestive cases has stabilized at around 3,000 per week

  • The proportion of hospitalized cases is higher in 2020 than in 2019.

  • Numerous cases of secondary dengue are being detected, with a growing proportion in the west

  • Although the majority of cases remain concentrated in the south (59%) and in St. Pierre in particular, the epidemic continues to spread westward.

  • All municipalities on the island are affected by viral circulation

  • The DENV1 serotype remains the most prevalent, followed by DENV2. DENV-3 is still detected in the east but now also in the north.
