Summary of the Epidemiological Situation

Circulation of the dengue virus has been detected in the western part of the island following the identification of seven locally acquired cases. Viral circulation is likely to intensify because the population’s immunity level is very low and the current conditions are particularly favorable for the vector.The epidemiological situation corresponds to Alert Level 2A: "Identification of a cluster of locally acquired cases"
