From June 27, 2025, to June 30, 2025, and in the context of extreme heat, Météo-France has issued an orange alert for July 1, 2025, for 5 of the region’s 6 departments (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Alpes-Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhône, Var, Vaucluse, representing 97.2% of the region’s resident population) and a yellow alert for the Hautes-Alpes department. The heatwave is still ongoing.
The regional analysis of emergency care utilization between June 27, 2025, and June 30, 2025, indicates an increase in the share of activity for the iCanicule indicator at SOS Médecins (all ages) as well as in hospital emergency departments (all ages and among those aged 75 and older).
