Key Points
In Week 08 (February 16–22), the number of emergency department visits and subsequent hospitalizations decreased among children aged 2–14 (by 15%, or 9,065 visits, and 7%, or 376 hospitalizations, respectively). Activity remained stable in other age groups compared to the previous week.
Emergency department visits for respiratory indicators were stable or down across all age groups. Influenza, in particular, saw the sharpest decline across all ages (-37%, or 1,553 fewer visits).
All other indicators were also stable or declining.
