Key Points

  • In Week 08 (February 16–22), the number of emergency department visits and subsequent hospitalizations decreased among children aged 2–14 (by 15%, or 9,065 visits, and 7%, or 376 hospitalizations, respectively). Activity remained stable in other age groups compared to the previous week.

  • Emergency department visits for respiratory indicators were stable or down across all age groups. Influenza, in particular, saw the sharpest decline across all ages (-37%, or 1,553 fewer visits).

  • All other indicators were also stable or declining.
