"Persepolis," a film to discuss with teenagers.

Winner of the Jury Prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, the animated film "Persepolis" stands out in particular for the critical distance the author maintains toward her own character as she faces numerous trials and tribulations: adolescence, in particular, is portrayed with all its pain, inner turmoil, and illusions, with the autobiographical narrative emerging as an act of self-analysis of the past. It is this dimension that seems particularly worth exploring with a young audience, who can compare their own experiences to those of the young heroine while benefiting from the perspective of an adult. The article offers suggestions for activities based on the film aimed at teenagers.
