Biennial Conference on Youth Health

On October 29, 2009, the Minister of Health and Sports organized a biennial conference on youth health in Paris. The DREES, in collaboration with the InVS, the INPES, and the OFDT, presented a summary of data on youth health. The following topics were addressed: - Young people’s perception of their access to health information, how they view their own health, relationship with the body during adolescence and early adulthood, vaccination, sexuality, contraception, voluntary terminations of pregnancy, accidents among young people, use of psychoactive substances, mental health among young people, suicide attempts and suicides, and young people’s use of and avoidance of healthcare.
