Key Points

  • Vaccination coverage rates for diphtheria, tetanus, polio, pertussis, and Haemophilus influenzae type B are very high (>= 95%).

  • Vaccination coverage rates for hepatitis B and pneumococcal disease are high (>= 90%) and have been increasing over the past three years. However, they must be improved to reach or exceed the 95% threshold.

  • Two-dose vaccination coverage against measles, mumps, and rubella (81%) is below the threshold required to eliminate any risk of a measles epidemic (95%).

  • Vaccination coverage against meningococcal C is higher in Brittany than at the national level. It has increased across all age groups. However, it remains insufficient for children aged 5 and older, falling below 80%.

  • Vaccination coverage against human papillomavirus is low, with approximately one in four adolescent girls having completed the vaccination series for the cohort born in 2001.
