This document is intended to assist in the use of the competency framework established by regulation (Appendix 1 of the May 31, 2013, decree regarding the competencies required to provide and coordinate therapeutic education). It is the result of work conducted by INPES with the support of a group of French and international experts convened to develop the competency frameworks. This process was based on extensive consultation. Its purpose is to clarify the framework by providing a more detailed version, including various sections and illustrations, in order to facilitate its adoption and use by the various stakeholders (professionals, associations, training organizations, government agencies, etc.). Another document accompanies the competency framework required to coordinate therapeutic education.
