  • Mainland France

    • Slowdown in the spread of SARS-CoV-2, but all indicators remain at very high levels

    • Decrease in the number of new confirmed cases (-14%)

    • Slower increase in the number of hospitalizations (+14%) and the number of ICU admissions (+17%)

    • Continued increase in the number of deaths (+29%) with a sharp rise in long-term care facilities

    • Excess mortality from all causes was more pronounced in weeks 43 and 44

    • Most affected regions: Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Hauts-de-France, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur

  • Overseas

    • Indicators remain at a high level in Martinique; a downward trend in Guadeloupe and French Guiana; a slight increase in Mayotte; an upward trend in Réunion

  • Prevention: CoviPrev study (early November)

    • Increased adoption of hygiene measures and contact reduction

  • Mental health: CoviPrev study (early November)

    • Significant increase in depressive disorders across the general population (from 10% at the end of September to 21%)
