Influenza Surveillance in Martinique. Update as of January 20, 2020.

Epidemiological Situation

In Martinique, influenza surveillance indicators have been rising steadily since mid-November, both in community practice and in hospitals. The data remain below the seasonal threshold. Influenza A and B viruses have been isolated in hospitals over the past six weeks.
Given that the situation has reached epidemic levels in Île-de-France, PACA, and Saint-Barthélemy, it is important to remain vigilant regarding how the situation evolves in Martinique over the coming weeks.

Santé publique France Antilles reminds the public that vaccination is recommended for vulnerable individuals and healthcare professionals; the campaign continues through January 31.
