Chickenpox: The Sentinelles network reports a national incidence of 42 and 46 cases per 100,000 inhabitants for weeks 25 (June 18–24, 2012) and 26 (June 25–July 1, 2012), respectively. For these same periods, the Rhône-Alpes region shifted from activity considered high (37 cases per 100,000 inhabitants) to low (4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants).
Acute diarrhea: data from the Sentinelles network show for weeks 25 (June 18–24, 2012) and 26 (June 25–July 1, 2012) a national incidence of 82 and 102 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively, which is below the epidemic threshold (174–176 cases per 100,000 inhabitants). In Rhône-Alpes, there has been a significant week-over-week increase in the number of cases, from 58 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in week 25 to 105 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in week 26.
Air pollution: With people heading out on vacation and the summer heat, air pollution spikes are frequent. In Rhône-Alpes, the Rhône Valley is particularly affected.
