Key Points

  • Vaccination coverage rates have stabilized at high levels among infants subject to the expanded vaccination requirement:

    • 91.3% received a third dose of the hexavalent vaccine

    • 91.7% received a third dose of the pneumococcal vaccine

    • 93.3% received a first dose of the MMR vaccine,

    • 92.3% received a second dose of the meningococcal C vaccine

  • MMR vaccination coverage (2 doses) has stabilized at 87.2%, still far from the target (95%)

  • Increase in meningococcal vaccination coverage:

    • Meningococcal C: progress in catch-up vaccination among children and adolescents, but rates remain below the national average

    • Meningococcal B: a good start for this vaccination, recommended since 2022, with 46.6% of children having received a dose, but significant regional disparities (a 23-point gap between Savoie and Ardèche)

  • Increase in HPV vaccination coverage, which remains well below the target

    • 41.6% of 16-year-old girls have received a full course (+4 percentage points)

    • 12.3% of boys have started the vaccination series (at least one dose) by age 15 (+7 percentage points)

  • Influenza vaccination coverage: slight decrease compared to the 2021–2022 season, still far from the target (75%)

    • 32.3% among at-risk individuals under 65 (-3 percentage points)

    • 55.5% among those aged 65 and older

  • Regional variation in vaccination coverage in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes:

    • Allier lags behind for infant vaccines, though showing clear progress for several vaccine types

    • Drôme and Ardèche: rates below regional averages for most vaccines

    • Departments close to the 95% target: Cantal for the hexavalent and pneumococcal vaccines (2 doses), Ain, Haute-Loire, Rhône, and Haute-Savoie for the meningococcal C vaccine (2 doses)

  • Increased support for vaccination in ARA: 81.4% of people in favor in 2021
