COVID-19

Decrease in the incidence rate but increase in the positivity rate calculated from PCR and antigen tests. The incidence rate dropped from 216 per 100,000 inhabitants in Week 14 to 199 per 100,000 in Week 15. The positivity rate increased from 6.6% to 7.6% compared to Week 14. The proportion of suspected cases of the so-called British variant is 86% in Brittany, and that of the Brazilian or South African variants is 3%. Vaccination coverage has reached 22.2% for a single dose. As of April 21, there were 34 confirmed cases in Brittany of the 20C/655Y variant, initially identified at Lannion Hospital. A cluster has been reported in Brest linked to the 20I/484K variant, which has recently begun circulating in France. The incidence rate has decreased due to the continued decline in testing, while hospital capacity remains strained.

Regional trend is downward, with low activity. Decrease in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations.

Bronchiolitis

Regional trend is declining. Epidemic activity. Decrease in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations.
