Key Points
COVID-19
Decrease in the incidence rate and stabilization of the positivity rate calculated from PCR and antigen tests. The incidence rate fell from 130.6 per 100,000 in Week 17 to 116.2 per 100,000 residents in Week 18. The positivity rate has stabilized compared to Week 17, ranging from 5.6% to 5.8% in Week 18. All indicators point to a slowdown in the epidemic. These indicators are declining across all age groups. This favorable trend is generally reflected across the entire region, although it is not observed to the same extent in certain sub-departmental areas. The proportion of suspected cases of the so-called British variant is 84.3% in Brittany, and that of the Brazilian or South African variants is 2.5%. Vaccination coverage stands at 31.6% for a single dose.
