Health Monitoring in Brittany. Update as of October 2, 2020.

Key Points - Infection with the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), COVID-19

In week 39, there was a decrease in the number of positive cases diagnosed by RT-PCR and an increase in the positivity rate due to a decrease in the number of tests performed in the region. The increase in the number of emergency room visits for suspected COVID-19 should be interpreted with caution, partly due to data transmission issues in previous weeks and partly because this increase is not corroborated by a rise in the number of positive cases diagnosed. A slight increase in the number of new hospitalizations for COVID-19 has been observed over the past three weeks in Brittany. The number of current hospitalizations is higher in Ille-et-Vilaine, and to a lesser extent in Morbihan. Intensive care admissions are primarily concentrated in Ille-et-Vilaine.
