Individual Monitoring
96 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in French Guiana, including 42 imported cases (infection outside French Guiana) and 54 local cases (infection within French Guiana)
27% of cases are linked to local transmission
15 clusters averaging 4.5 cases, mostly within families.
Two significant clusters in early April, one in the community (21 cases) and the other involving healthcare workers in a hospital setting, currently under investigation.
Surveillance by the Sentinel Physician Network
22 (tele) consultations for acute respiratory infection (ARI) per 100,000 inhabitants in private practice during week 15 (data to be consolidated). A portion of these ARIs could be attributed to COVID-19.
