Individual Monitoring

  • 107 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in French Guiana, representing 11 additional cases compared to week S2020-16: this increase is linked to the detection of a new cluster currently under investigation

  • 27% of cases are linked to local transmission

  • 16 clusters, including 4 where the most recent case occurred less than 14 days ago

  • 3 significant clusters since early April: two in the community (21 and 10 cases) and a third in a hospital setting.

Surveillance by the Sentinel Physician Network

  • 37 (telemedicine) consultations for acute respiratory infection (ARI) per 100,000 inhabitants in private practice during week S2020-16. A portion of these ARIs could be attributed to COVID-19.
