COVID-19

  • Increased circulation of SARS-CoV-2 throughout the region, with a more pronounced increase in the Northeast.

  • Regional incidence rates and positivity rates are rising across all age groups, including those 65 and older.

  • Gradual increase in pressure on regional healthcare capacity, particularly in critical care units.

Bronchiolitis

  • Non-epidemic phase.

  • In S12-2022, the volume of cases for bronchiolitis, still at a moderate level, remained stable in emergency departments. Activity within the Picardy Bronchiolitis Network remained stable at a low level over the weekend of March 26–27.

  • According to data from the virology laboratories at the Lille and Amiens University Hospitals, a few RSV cases were identified among patients hospitalized at the Lille University Hospital.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Epidemic phase, sharp rise in influenza activity.

  • Seek of medical care for influenza-like illnesses is rising sharply in hospitals and private practices.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Declining in emergency departments, but remaining at a high level, particularly among children under 5 years of age.

  • Significant community circulation of rotavirus.
