Key indicators

Virological Surveillance

  • Number of positive tests: slight decrease (-14%) in week 15 compared to the previous week in hospital laboratories and private laboratories.

  • LABM (3 labs): 33.1% positive tests in week 15 (36.9% in week 14)

  • Hospital laboratories: 35.9% of tests were positive in week 15 (43.5% in week 14)

Community surveillance

  • SOS Médecins: sharp decrease in the rate of procedures for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 procedures: 1,587 per 10,000 in week 15 (2,518 per 10,000 in week 14)

  • Sentinelles Network: 194 (tele)consultations for acute respiratory infections per 100,000 inhabitants in week 15 (504 in week 14), a sharp decrease

Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes

  • 19,547 cases and 3,673 deaths reported as of April 14, 2020, including 16,357 cases and 3,569 deaths reported in long-term care facilities

Hospital surveillance

  • Oscour® Network: sharp decrease in the rate of visits for suspected COVID-19 per 10,000 visits, with 2,205 per 10,000 visits in week 15 (3,065 per 10,000 in week 14)

  • Sentinel intensive care units: 66% of cases aged 65 and older, 76% of cases with at least one risk factor, and 76% with ARDS

Mortality monitoring

  • Excess mortality across all age groups has been observed since week 12 in all departments of the region, with a very exceptional increase in deaths: a 204% increase in week 14 (120% in week 13)
