Health Monitoring in the Normandy Region. Update as of April 16, 2021.
Key Points
COVID-19
In Week 14, epidemiological indicators remained at a high level, with most indicators stabilizing. A decrease in viral circulation is observed, but due to the sharp drop in testing activity related to the Monday holiday in Week 14, the trend in virology data between Weeks 13 and 14 is difficult to interpret.
Bronchiolitis
Rising epidemic phase. In Week 14, activity for bronchiolitis (under 2 years of age) began to decline in emergency departments and at SOS-médecin, with moderate activity levels. Forty-three RSV isolates were identified by the Rouen University Hospital laboratory and 10 by the Caen University Hospital laboratory. The positivity rate is decreasing.
Gastroenteritis
In week 14, activity for gastroenteritis (all ages) at SOS-Médecins and emergency departments is decreasing. The activity level is classified as low for SOS-Médecins and moderate for emergency departments. The incidence of acute diarrhea continues to decline in week 14.
