COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Nouvelle-Aquitaine as of November 26, 2020

Key Points

The decline in viral circulation continues in Nouvelle-Aquitaine

The slowdown in SARS-CoV-2 circulation observed since early November continues in the region, with a sharp decrease in the incidence rate and positivity rate during week 47 (November 16–22). This decline affects all age groups, though it is less pronounced among the oldest age groups. It is now observed across all departments in the region, despite lingering differences in the level of circulation. The number of emergency room visits and new hospitalizations for COVID-19 is also decreasing, in line with the slowdown in viral circulation observed over the past three weeks.
