Outbreak of conjunctivitis in Mayotte. Update as of March 22, 2012.

In late February, a clinic doctor and a private practitioner reported an unusually high number of cases of conjunctivitis among residents of Sada. An inquiry among other doctors on the island indicated that the outbreak was confined to the central and western parts of the island. The following week, doctors in the south and southeast of Mayotte also reported an increase in the number of patients with conjunctivitis.
