Preventing Sexual Violence: What Can We Do? [Introduction to the Series]

Violence is a major determinant of health, and its importance is heightened by the fact that it influences other health determinants. Numerous studies have thus highlighted close links between experiences of sexual violence and subsequent physical, mental, and sexual health problems: repeated acts of violence both perpetrated and experienced, anxiety and depression, addictions, risky sexual behavior, eating disorders, obesity, etc.
