Key Points

  • In week 44 (October 28–November 3, 2024), visits and hospitalizations following emergency department visits remained stable across all age groups.

  • Most respiratory indicators are stable or declining, except for bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age (+13%, or +182 visits), influenza/flu-like illness in those aged 15–74 (+19%, or +84 visits), and ENT infections in adults (+7%, or +237 visits), which are on the rise.

  • Among other indicators, there was an increase in visits for abdominal pain in children under 2 years of age (+11%, or +61 visits), gastroenteritis in those aged 15–74 (+8%, or +89 visits), and vomiting in those aged 75 and older (+8%, or +26 visits). Also worth noting among adults is the increase in visits for conjunctivitis among those aged 75 and older (+17%, or +8 visits).
