Key Points

  • In Week 27 (July 3–9, 2023), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

  • Among those aged 75 and older, there was an increase in most procedures, with low to moderate case volumes, particularly regarding respiratory conditions: upper respiratory tract disorders, pneumonia, and bronchitis (up 33%, 14%, +18%, and +51, +23, +31 procedures, respectively) and asthma attacks (+77%, or +13 procedures), as well as for fainting spells (+15%, or +9 procedures) and heatstroke (+7 procedures).

  • Among children, there was an increase in cases of vomiting among those aged 2–14 (+32%, or +71 cases), and among children under 2 for allergies (+29%, or +31 cases), trauma (+12%, or +7 cases), and isolated fever (+16%, or +59 cases).

  • Regarding mental health indicators, there was a slight increase in cases of depressive states among those aged 65 and older (+46%, or +11 cases).
