Key Points

  • In week 41 (October 7–13, 2024), activity at SOS Médecins clinics remained stable across all age groups.

  • Key respiratory indicators are down compared to the previous week across all age groups for influenza/flu-like illness (-14%), suspected COVID-19 (-23%), as well as, among adults over 15 years of age, for asthma attacks (-14%), upper respiratory tract conditions (-5.5%), and acute bronchitis (-6%).

  • Among children, the number of cases remains stable for asthma attacks, upper respiratory tract conditions, acute bronchitis, and bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age.

  • Procedures for pertussis also continued to decline across all age groups.

  • Among other indicators, there is an increase in procedures:

    • which continues among children under 2 years of age for conjunctivitis (+20%, or +138 procedures), while they have stabilized among 2- to 14-year-olds,

    • for trauma among 2- to 14-year-olds (+9%, or +54 visits) and 15- to 74-year-olds (+6%, or +114 visits),

    • for isolated fever (+13%, or +99 visits) and among adults for malaise (+14%, or +29 visits) and vomiting (+7%, or +22 visits),

    • for anxiety among those aged 45–64 (+26%, or +62 visits).
