A decline in alcohol consumption in France, but marked disparities
According to the latest Public Health France Barometer, regular alcohol consumption has declined over the past few decades. However, there is an upward trend in certain risky behaviors among women, particularly those with higher levels of education, and a high concentration of consumption among a minority of people. Men remain generally more affected by alcohol use, in all its forms. The figures also highlight social, occupational, and regional differences.
