Can training programs for facilitators provide a platform for addressing health education?
Youth leaders are primarily trained by community education organizations. However, the content of these training programs rarely addresses the concept of health promotion, leaving the issue to specialists. Yet experience shows that it is possible to integrate these issues into training programs. This is possible, among other things, if training organizations bring in trainers with complementary skills, specifically from the fields of community education and health education.
