Health must be at the heart of sustainable development.

Interview with Laurence Tubiana, Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI) and holder of the Chair in Sustainable Development at Sciences Po Paris. Health lies at the heart of any approach to sustainable development. For Laurence Tubiana, the health of populations and that of their “Earth” ecosystem must go hand in hand. International organizations have been slow to recognize health as a major objective within the framework of sustainable development. But the urgency of the situation and the resurgence of certain epidemics are prompting states and organizations to take action.
