People with disabilities: concepts and definitions.

Disability: What Are We Talking About? There are many definitions of disability, and they have evolved over time. The classification based on medical conditions has been replaced by a more comprehensive approach that takes into account the context in which the individual lives. Disability is now defined as “any limitation on activity or restriction on participation in society” experienced by a person in their environment, for whatever reason.
