Prostitutes play a vital role in our intervention team [Interview].

The Grisélidis association in Toulouse implements a community health approach: the team is composed primarily of sex workers who provide support to their peers. Involving those directly affected allows for an approach tailored to the challenges these women face, backed by constantly updated knowledge of the field. The target population lives in extreme precariousness; the association conducts outreach patrols in the field and offers sex workers a safe haven at its facilities—a place to rest, talk, spend time in a secure environment, share a meal, receive assistance with administrative procedures, and more.
