Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 04, SARS-CoV-2 circulation continues to decline in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, albeit at a slower pace, as the level remains low. The impact on hospitals continues to decrease, as do reports from long-term care facilities.

Bronchiolitis

  • 3rd week post-epidemic

  • The epidemic trend for bronchiolitis stabilized in Week 4 at a moderate level.

  • Emergency department visits for bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age remained stable in Week 4 in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The proportion of hospital activity related to bronchiolitis remained stable compared to the previous week. Hospitalizations for a diagnosis of bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age increased slightly in Week 4 compared to the previous week.

Influenza

  • 9th epidemic week.

  • Oscour® Network: emergency room visits for all ages in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes for a diagnosis of influenza/influenza-like illness are rising again.

  • SOS Médecins: the number of cases is rising again in Week 4, with 979 cases of influenza/influenza-like illness recorded (vs. 865 cases in Week 3), representing 11.8% of total activity (vs. 10.5% in Week 3).

Acute gastroenteritis

  • Moderate activity.
