Heat Wave and Health Alert System in Burgundy and Franche-Comté. Update as of August 30, 2017.

Since the afternoon of Sunday, August 27, Météo-France has placed the Jura and Saône-et-Loire departments under an orange heat wave alert; the other departments in the region have been placed under a yellow alert, with the exception of the Territoire de Belfort. According to the map issued at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, the Yonne department has returned to green, while the situation remains unchanged for the other departments.
Since the start of the heat wave: data updated today indicates 10 cases of heat-related illnesses (PLC) in the SOS Médecins network, including 5 people aged 75 and older; 22 cases of PLC in the OSCOUR® network, including 11 people aged 75 and older; 12 cases resulted in hospitalization, including 8 people aged 75 and older.
For yesterday:
- 9 emergency room visits for HHI, including 1 in the Jura and 3 in Saône-et-Loire; of these 9 visits, 6 involved people aged 75 and older, and five were hospitalized, including 4 aged 75 and older.
- 6 SOS Médecins consultations for acute respiratory distress involving one person under 15 years of age, 2 between 15 and 44 years of age, and 3 aged 75 and older.
