COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for the Grand Est Region as of October 14, 2021

In the Grand Est region, the number of new cases continued to decline in week 40 of 2021 (1,787 compared to 2,063 in week 39 of 2021), while the number of people tested fell slightly (250,295 in week 40 compared to 262,693 in week 39 of 2021). The incidence rate is also falling to 32.4 new cases per 100,000 residents and remains below the threshold for active virus circulation (set at 50 per 100,000 residents). The positivity rate, meanwhile, remains stable (0.7% compared to 0.8% in week 39 of 2021).
