Surveillance of Occupational Diseases in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais Region: Results for 2015 and 2016
An occupational disease (MCP) is defined as any illness that may be work-related but is not covered under the category of compensable occupational diseases (MPI). All medical doctors are required to report such cases (Article L.461-6 of the Social Security Code). As part of a partnership between Santé publique France and the Occupational Health Inspection Service, a surveillance program for these ODs has been implemented in several regions of France. In the former Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, the OD Fortnight initiatives were launched in 2009. This document summarizes the results of the 2015 and 2016 OD Fortnights.
