Mental Health Syndromic Surveillance Bulletin, October 4, 2021

Key Points

  • In emergency departments, visits were stable or declining across all indicators. The levels observed were similar to or lower than those of previous years, except for suicide attempts and mood disorders, which were higher among children.

  • At SOS Médecins clinics, indicators were stable or declining, with levels comparable to or lower than those of the previous three years. Given a national strike by SOS Médecins associations on September 27, 2021, which continues in some associations regarding home visits, SOS Médecins activity declined in week 39, and the indicators should be interpreted with the utmost caution.
