Working with Vulnerable Women in French Guiana: Local Challenges and Gender Issues

The L'Arbre fromager center provides daytime services to women in need, offering them a listening ear, support, and guidance. This organization focuses primarily on issues related to violence, health, integration, housing, employment, and parenting. A temporary housing service for single women with dependent children has been operating as a complementary service since 2007. Women receive comprehensive support aimed at building and strengthening their skills so they can achieve independence and better manage their own lives. [R.A.]
