Individual Monitoring
Week 15 (April 6–12): 39 new confirmed cases, including 21 community-acquired cases
Since March 11, 2020: 394 confirmed cases of COVID-19
Virological surveillance
In Week 15, the SARS-CoV-2 positivity rate decreased in public laboratories (0.9% vs. 4.6% in Week 14) and private laboratories (2.0% vs. 3.2% in Week 14)
Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes
As of April 15, 2020, 10 facilities reported at least one possible case (whether confirmed or not).
Hospital surveillance
Oscour® Network: in week 15, a slight increase in the number of visits for suspected COVID-19, accounting for 2.8% of total activity (vs. 2.5% in week 14)
Sentinel intensive care units: since March 11, 2020, 12 patients have been admitted to intensive care; 4 remain hospitalized as of April 16, 2020
Mortality surveillance
No excess mortality detected through week S-14
Two death certificates noting “suspected COVID-19” but with a diagnosis later ruled out (negative test results for SARS-CoV-2).
