Individual Monitoring
Week 16 (April 13–19): 15 new confirmed cases, including 8 community-acquired cases
Since March 11, 2020: 410 confirmed cases of COVID-19
Virological surveillance
In Week 16, the SARS-CoV-2 positivity rate remained stable in public laboratories (1% vs. 1% in Week 15) and showed a downward trend in private laboratories (1% vs. 2% in Week 15)
Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes
As of April 21, 2020, 11 facilities had reported at least one possible case (whether confirmed or not).
Hospital surveillance
Oscour® Network: in week 16, a decrease in the number of visits for suspected COVID-19, which accounted for 1% of total activity (vs. 3% in week 15)
Sentinel intensive care units: since March 11, 2020, 12 patients have been admitted to intensive care; 2 remain hospitalized as of April 22, 2020
Mortality surveillance
No excess mortality detected through week S-15
Two death certificates noting “suspected COVID-19” but with negative PCR tests for SARS-CoV-2.
