Individual Monitoring
Week 18 (April 20–26): Continued Decline in the Number of New COVID-19 Cases
Since March 11, 2020: 427 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported (425 investigated)
Virological Surveillance
Week 18: Continued decline in the number of tests performed and the SARS-CoV-2 positivity rate in public and private medical laboratories
Surveillance in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes
As of May 5, 2020, 12 facilities reported at least one possible case (whether confirmed or not).
Hospital surveillance
Oscour® Network: In Week 18, the number of admissions for suspected COVID-19 remained low, accounting for 0.4% of total activity (vs. 0.5% in Week 17)
Sentinel intensive care units: since March 11, 2020, 13 patients have been admitted to intensive care; 2 remain hospitalized
Mortality surveillance
No excess mortality detected through week 17
Two death certificates noted “suspected COVID-19,” for which RT-PCR tests were negative for SARS-CoV-2.
