COVID-19: Epidemiological Update for Corsica as of April 29, 2020
Key indicators
Sentinelles network: incidence of acute respiratory infections of 73 per 100,000 inhabitants in S17 (65 in S16);
SOS-Médecins: 14% of consultations were COVID-19-related in S17 (11% in S16);
Emergency departments: 20% of visits were COVID-19-related in Week 17 (16% in Week 16);
Nursing homes: 56 cases among residents and 11 deaths as of April 28;
Hospitalized cases (SI-VIC): 60 patients hospitalized as of April 28, including 8 in intensive care;
ICU units: Regardless of age, 66% of cases had at least one risk factor as of April 28. Additionally, the median time to ICU admission was 7 days;
all-cause mortality: a decrease compared to week S15 (data not yet consolidated).
